Of the four status summarizers in Systems Management Server (SMS), three can be configured:
The Component and Site System status summarizers use the following status indicators to indicate potential problems:
OK. No item has crossed a status message threshold.
Warning. An item has crossed its warning threshold.
Critical. An item has crossed its critical threshold.
The Site System Status Summarizer has the status indicator of its most troubled site system, and the Component Status Summarizer has the status indicator of its most troubled component. For example, if any component status is critical, the Component Status Summarizer has the critical status indicator. If there are no critical components but there are warning components, the summarizer has the warning status indicator. A summarizer can only have the OK status indicator if all the elements (components or site systems) contained within it are OK.
